I’m the director of architecture at Elevation Engineering and Design.
My passion at a 10,000 foot level would be art, but on a more microscopic level, specifically architecture and residential architecture from as far back as I could remember, I loved houses all the way back to literally one year old. I loved houses my mother used to doodle little houses all the time. And I would specifically ask rather than her to read me a story, I would say, Mom, draw me a house. And the older I got, the more that passion grew and grew and grew until I was about 12 years old. And at that point I realized this is my path. I can’t escape it. There’s nothing that’s going to stop me from doing this. So I was determined at that point that I was going to be a residential architect.
The more I started doing it as an adult, the more I realized this is kind of like a puzzle that I’m discovering these houses for these people and their lives and everything that revolves around it. And it’s just an amazing piece of art, and that’s why I do what I do.
